YOU HAVE ARRIVED at Palmer Station!
After 5 days on the Laurence M. Gould you have made it to Antarctica!!
Aren't you so excited!? Here is a picture of you and Matthew Oliver. He is one of the many scientists you will be working with during your stay at Palmer Station!
Your face here!
The Laurence M. Gould is docked at Palmer Station and ready to be unpacked. All of your research equipment needs to be brought off the boat to the station, along with your luggage and the provisions. The provisions for the station include things like food and water for all of the researchers, photographers, engineers, chefs and everyone else staying at Palmer.
Research is important in Antarctica
but the scientists get to have fun too!
Check out the videos and pictures below to see what life is like at the station! Take a tour, look at the game room, check out their eating situation and see what the scientists do during their free time.
In case you were wondering... "free time" usually occurs when the weather makes it unsafe for the scientists to leave the station and collect data.
